Students should be practicing (band homework)
30 minutes minimum every day in order to progress! 6th Grade Students attending after school Jump Start Sessions: These sessions are important as they offer an opportunity to receive individualized attention on the specific instrument. Unlike band class where attention is divided amongst the other families, Jump Start allows us to focus on the fundamentals of producing our fist sounds and proper instrument maintenance. All of the skills learned in these sessions can also be reviewed using videos in google classroom. Students will remain after school and be called to the band room after the last bus load each day. Please make sure you are attending the correct Jump Start Day. If you have rented an instrument through Jacksons or Music and Arts or using a school owned instrument, the instrument will be assigned to the student on their Jump Start Day.
