30 minutes minimum every day in order to progress! Also, a lot of information regarding important dates for the school year (band calendar), trip forms (payment schedule, etc), MakeMusic help videos, and other information is posted in the student's google classroom. Monday: Tuesday: 7th/8th grade Band Trip 2nd payment DUE Jazz Band Meeting 3:45-5PM Jazz Band Members Stay After School 6th Grade In class playing test on Line 18 in book. Performance will be evaluated using metronome @ 60bpm Grade will evaluate correct notes, tone quality, tempo, articulation (connecting notes), and posture Wednesday: Thursday: 7th/8th grade Wind Ensemble: 4-5pm Wind Ensemble members stay after school Friday: Enjoy the long weekend!

Students attending 8th grade night have two options to get to Northgate HIgh school. If you intend to ride the Northgate bus from school to Northgate, please bring a bus note to school by Tuesday, Sept. 24. The bus note should simply say "My student ____________ will be riding the Northgate Bus on Friday for 8th grade night" If you are not riding the bus then you must be dropped off at the Bus Loading zone at Northgate by 4:00pm. The bus loading zone is next to the Band Room. A NGHS band representative will be waiting for you to escort you to the band room. Members report to band room at 3:30pm to set up band. Game ends at approximately 6:30. Students: have rides ready by 6pm! Parents: The band will need help stacking chairs and stands to bring back to the band room. Any help would be greatly appreciated! A Meal form for Pep Band was sent home last week at Wednesday's rehearsal. The form will close at 8am on Monday. Please click here, if you have yet to place an order. Packets are only due for sales that were done with cash or check. Tuesday: 7th/8th grade Pep Band Members will be given Meal form to fill out for upcoming Football Games 7th/8th grade students interested in being considered for Wind Ensemble and/or Jazz Band must submit scales recordings through Make Music.com Recordings DUE on this day! Students interested in the rhythm section (drum set, piano, bass guitar, and guitar) must see Mr. Prado for evaluation.
