30 minutes minimum every day in order to progress! 6th Grade Band Jump Start This Week! Students participating for jump start will need to remain in school at 3:30. Students will be called to report to the band room after school. Jump Start ends at 5:30pm. Parents DO NOT need to stay after school. Student pick up will be at the front of the school. Please see schedule below: Monday: 6th Grade Flute Jump Start 3:45-5:30pm Tuesday: 6th Grade Clarinet Jump Start 3:45-5:30pm 7th/8th Grade Pep Band Form and Fee DUE. Pep Band is for any 7th/8th grade band member interested. No audition required! Please fill out form by clicking on this LINK. Dates for rehearsals and games are in the form. Monday: Tuesday: 7th/8th grade: Virtual Band Trip Meeting @ 5:30pm Wednesday: Thursday: 6th Grade Band Orientation and Rental Night @ 5:30pm in BMS Cafeteria Friday: BMS Band Mini Camp will be held in the BMS Band Room on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday July 7, 8, and 9 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Students must provide their own lunch and snacks/water.
This BMS Band MiniCamp will focus on the following: -Reinforcing fundamentals and other learned skills from the previous year. -Pep Band and other pop music. -Students will have also have the opportunity to learn guitar! If you have a guitar, bring it to camp and there will be a guitar session to get started! -Song Writing and Sound Production (bring your Chromebook) Students will not only build community through performance, but through other fun interactive activities! With so many students interested in participating, and with only one director present, this mini camp roster will be determined by the first 45 students to sign up. An email will go out announcing the roster and another email will go out announcing a waiting list, in case a student drops off. The Link to sign up goes Live at 6pm in Google Classroom! If not able to stay after school, report time for Jazz band is 5:30pm Concert Attire: 6th/7th/8th grade: Concert Attire (formal attire for Wind Ensemble) OR dress up as a character from one of the musical selections!
